Some 700 staff members of Anhui Construction Engineering Group gathered together in Hefei on the 3 March, for the annual Working Conference for the year of 2010
Mr.Hu Yuncheng, Chairman and CEO of ACEG made a speech titled “Revise the mode and quality of development and spare no efforts for ACEG’s healthier and rapider growth” on the conference. The whole speech consists of two parts, A. Summary of operations for 2009; B. Targets and operation deployments for 2010.
A. Summary of operations for 2009
Despite of global economic recession of 2009 has set negative shadows over the growth, ACEG has spared no efforts in tackling all the difficulties under the guidelines of the provincial government and great achievements have been gained: 20% annual revenue growth; 33% growth for transferred quantity of work from previous year; 100% quality satisfied for completed projects among which 64% top quality; 8 Huangshan Cups; 2 Sci-tech Model Projects of Provincial level; 3 Provincial Sci-tech. Progress Awards;20 method statements; National AAA standard and Credible site for 1 project; Provincial Secured and Civilized sites for more than 20 Projects and ACEG’s Secured and Civilized sites for more than 85 Projects.
Annual profit rate growth 20% and total profit amount growth 36% year on year; 21% growth in total assets and 17% in net assets; 22% increase in credit extension year-on-year. In the circumstances of global economic downturn, ACEG has laid off no its employees and their salary standards remained un-decreased and on the contrary, ACEG has recruited 430 new staff members and employees have gained increased income by 13% year-on-year. In 2009, ACEG has, for the first time, been listed the 455th among Top 500 Chinese Enterprises and the 168th among ENR’s Top 225 International Contractors, and what is more, ACEG has been listed the 14th among the Top 100 Enterprises in Anhui Province.
Also, ACEG has been awarded following merits: “National Advanced Unit in Architectural Industry”; “National Advanced Construction Contractor”; “National May, 1 Award”; “First Batch of National AAA Grade Creditability Contractor”; “International AAA Grade Creditability Contractor”; “Silver Medal for Social Contribution as a International Contractor” and one of the eight “A” Class companies in Anhui Province by Anhui Provincial State Assets Management Committee.
B. Targets and operation deployments for 2010.
Mr.Hu said: the year 2010 is the last year of China’s 11th 5-year-Plan and also the first year after ACEG being listed among China’s Top 500 Enterprises, ACEG is to set its new paces from a new starting point.
In an attempt to achieve the targets set forth, Mr. Hu has highlighted 7 key agenda to which top priority should be given: firstly, strengthen strategic controls and promote scientific developments; secondly, better the institutional administration and innovate the institutional systems; thirdly, change the development modes and increase the development qualities; fourthly, change the operational systems and raise the operational efficiencies; fifthly, change the management systems and advance the management levels; sixthly, strengthen risks controls and maintain sustainable and healthy growths; seventhly, strengthen and better the Party Construction efforts and build ACEG a harmonious enterprise.
